DIVING

We provide highly trained and experienced HSE dive teams for both location and studio based water sequences. Our diving coordinators, supervisors and divers have years of experience in both commercial and media diving. We liaise closely with production departments, both prior to and during shooting to ensure that the sequences are completed in a safe and controlled manner.

MARINE & LOCATIONS

Our teams work around the UK, Europe and across the globe, and are able to supply marine and event support at remote locations. From ponds and rivers to the open sea, we can organise the correct level of marine logistics to conform to relevant codes of practice including MCA, PLA, EA, CRT and others. We have Rescue 3 SRT (Swiftwater Rescue Technicians) available and can support any size of production whether small, medium or large.

SPECIAL EFFECTS & STUNTS

The team at Diving Services UK work closely with Stunts and Special Effects Coordinators and technicians on the floor, assisting in the development, design, installation and testing of underwater rigs.

EQUIPMENT

Diving Services UK have always invested heavily in equipment. Whether you are looking to hire a wetsuit or drysuit, life rings and lifejackets or simply a pair of waders, we have plenty of options available. We also have a number of solutions for temporary water heating, from a portable 50kg spa heater pack through to two 10,000kg containerised portable water treatment systems. We have a number of unique vessels including rapid deployment HP inflatable boats, mud sledges and 2 landing craft type camera boats. 

Exterior tank equipment includes water tractors, walkways and rostrums. We have an extensive range of special effect tip tanks and chutes, and portable tanks available to hire, from 10 litres to 40,000 litres capacity.

Health & Safety

Diving Services UK are a Health and Safety Executive (HSE) registered diving contractor, No 1356. All of our diving conforms to HSE Diving Operations at Work Regulation 1997 2nd edition. As artiste safety is absolutely paramount to us, we organise diving medicals and carry out training in house. This ensures that the artistes are competent to carry out the task in a safe and controlled manner.

In 2016 Dave was awarded the Colin McLeod Award for “promoting diving safety in the international film industry”.

In 2017 Dave was awarded The Holder Cup from the Society of Underwater Technology for “Outstanding Contributions to Underwater Operations”.
